Cloprostenol is a synthetic prostaglandin for use in cattle, horses and pigs. Cloprostenol is a functional analogue prostaglandin F2? having a specific luteolytic action. It causes functional and morphological regression of the corpus luteum (luteolysis) in cattle, horses and pigs, followed by return to oestrus and normal ovulation.
