The combination of penicillin and Streptomycine secures antimicrobial activity against the majority of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The powder is indicated for infections caused by mixed bacterial flora and particularly as initial therapy in cases of severe infections of unknown aetiology when there is no time for waiting for the results of an anti-biogram.
